About Us

Caring Crew NZ was started in 2018 by founder Nathalie Billett. As a previous pediatric nurse and mother of two; Nathalie was confronted numerous times by parents/caregivers without basic toiletries and sanitary products whilst in the mist of overwhelming turmoil.

 

Although Caring Crew NZ cannot fix the families current situation; its aim is to be able to provide packs to those families identified by the health care team to make the hospital admission a little more bearable.

 

Currently we have four members on our team. Nathalie Billett (chairperson and operational manager), Gabrielle Sheddan (secretary), Vanessa Lloyd (accountant) and Jason Paver (IT/ Website support). Our wider volunteer base includes businesses, sponsors and everyday people that believe in the same vision of the group.

Our Vision

To support parents/guardians and Whanau in need with carer packs consisting of basic toiletries and/ or sanitary products at a time of high stress whilst their child is in hospital.

Our Mission

To have the capacity to distribute carer packs throughout the children’s hospitals and wards within Aotearoa/NZ with the help of donated products, financial support from businesses, donations and grants.

Products

The products in these packs are sourced from numerous avenues. These include companies, purchases by approved grants and donations from members of the public. One thing for certain though is that they are all filled with compassion, care and Aroha.
